MoE Reviewing Islamic Studies Curriculum

The Ministry of Education (MoE) is reviewing the new curriculum for Islamic Studies which is expected to be ready in the near future, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Muhyiddin, who is also the Education Minister, said there was a possibility that the new curriculum for Islamic Studies could also include the J-Qaf.

"We hope to be able to implement the new curriculum for Islamic Studies as soon as possible," he said after a 'tahlil' session at the Surau Saadiah, here Thursday.

At the function, he also received tithe contribution of RM120,000 from Uda Holdings from its chairman, Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed.

Earlier at the handing over of aid from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) at the Muar District Education Office, Muhyiddin said that since its implementation, 35,000 undergraduates had benefited from the aid.
